Foseco India’s initiative to support the communities for Sweetling Project - Jehangir Hospital, Pune on 21st September 2024

Foseco India Team members organised an origami session at the Sweetling Project - Jehangir Hospital, Pune on 21st September 2024.

The objective of Sweetling project is to help and support under privileged children with Type1 Diabetes also called Juvenile diabetes - a chronic condition in which the pancreas produces little or no insulin. The Centre is catering to 800+ children from under privileged background, who need to take 3 doses of insulin per day. Most of the parent are daily wage workers and struggling to afford this unfortunate medical expense. Continuous monitoring of sugar levels and medication are the only treatments available.

A periodic hospital visit means series of medical tests and instructions from doctors. But this time, the children were pleasantly surprised to receive the origami kits and were delighted to follow the instruction in making little rabbits and boats with the colorful craft paper. Foseco has been supporting financially for almost 10 years for providing holistic treatment of these underprivileged children.

The Institute Doctors and staff expressed gratitude for continuous support from Foseco, highlighting the significance of such initiatives in boosting the child’s morale and encourage to lead a healthy, relatively normal life.

Foseco India is committed to making a positive contribution to society and continue our support for such initiatives, promoting a culture of social responsibility and care.
